To have an healthy lungs you need the following 

1. Be Active/ Exercise


 

Exercise is good for your lungs, and your general body, just as you do exercise to keep your body in shape  and heart healthy, same applied to your lung too. Exercise keeps your lungs in shape. Oxygen is the fuel needed to fuel your muscles, and the lungs then, then deliver that oxygen while expelling additional carbon dioxide. Exercise can improve the symptoms of some long-term lung conditions. 
You can  gym, take a walk, jog, or regular tennis game can do the trick, for about 30 minutes, five times a week. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about your exercise plan if you already have breathing problems.

2. Monitor Your Appliances

Wherever gas burns, as in certain cooktops, ovens, space heaters or burning of wood, coal, oil or kerosene,  it makes a chemical called nitrous oxide. This gas can inflame your lungs, makes you cough and wheeze, and trigger asthma. 
Cook in a well ventilated environment. 

3. Radon Test 

 Radon is a radioactive element,it's one of the gas that causes lung cancer, its damage the lungs when you breathe or swallow them in, they cannot be touch, seen, or even smell. Its produced from the broken down of the natural uranium found in soil, rock and water. Penetrate its way to the building through cracks, holes, plumbing and electrical wires. A test kit is available to detect its level in the  home

4.  keep Your Carpets Clean

Carpet traps dust, dirt, mold, cockroach droppings etc  that can get into our lungs through the air we breath in.
So it's advisable to vacuum your carpets three to four times a week and steam clean them every year.  Or pteferable, go for hard-surface flooring example tiles or wood flooring, that's easier to keep clean. 

5.  Clean Your Humidifier

Humidifier it's a simple device that puts moisture into the air to help you breathe easier. Its should be clean regularly or change, because, it could develop an airborne fungus that can infect and inflame your lungs.

6. Do not Smoke or stop smoking 






Smokers are liable to die young, its increases the risks of lung cancer, smoking narrow and inflame your airway, therefore making breathing difficult.  You can develop nagging cough, and smoking also destroys the tissue of your system.. 
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can also occurs which is a condition of the tiny air sacs in the lungs that process oxygen thats been damaged.

7. Eat greens and fruits





 Eating lots of fruits and vegetables  boost your immune system  so keep you healthier from infection.

8. Drink lots of Water





Water keep you hydrated and helps eliminate unwanted toxic in the body

9. Keep your hands clean




10.Breathe deeply




Deep breathing helps clear the lungs and creates a full oxygen exchange. To  do this 

  • Find a comfortable quiet place to sit
  • slowly breathe in through your nose alone, counting eg 1-4
  • Then breathe out at least through your mouth, counting 1-8
