Have you been wondering what business to start , then I will advise you to go for foodstuff buying and selling business. 

Foodstuff is always on go, very lucrative, even when other business are not.
 Everybody eats, we need food to keep on going, so the businesses will need to keep on expanding, so it is a lucrative business to think of.

There is always profits to make, not minding the location, either in the market place or on the street  either you start as a distributor,  wholesaler or retailer. You always have cash to take home at the end of the day.

Survey the Market

You need to do your personal survey, visit two or more of the shops, let them know you want to go into the business too, although they may be reluctant to share with you, but what shop "A" couldn’t share shop "B" will, and what both are hiding from you shop "C" will, and so on. If warrant you can even volunteer to help them in selling for a while or just tip them.

Your Capital

This is not specific, you can start as a retailer, wholesaler or distributor, all depends in your Financial capability. 
This also depend on your location. Where your shop will be located.

A Place/Shop 

You need a place for your business, small or big  depending on your capital. A place to store your stuffs, a place to be known by customers,where potential customers pass by daily

Buy your Foodstuff in Bulk

Buying your foodstuff in bulk will help you to increase your profit.
You can also stock foodstuff when in season depending on how long they can stay without getting spoit, with this you have to consider a good storage means, before stocking foodstuff. Don't store food on the floor or beside the wall,  you can put them on pallet plank,

Advertisement 

Inform families,friends, colleagues for patronage.

In conclusion, Good relationship with customers also matters, so as to be able to retain them for years, when you have a good relationship with your customers they will introduce you to their friends and families.
