Father's  Day





It's a day designated to celebrate and honour the fathers.
It was first celebrated in the nation on June 19, 1910 in Washington.
..
After President Woodrow Wilson made Mother's day official,https://robbingmind.blogspot.com/2023/05/mothers-day-history.html, the Father's Day became a nation wide holiday in the United States.
The third Sundays in June is been dedicated to honour the fathers.

The Credit was given to Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington whose mother died after childbirth, Sonora and her and siblings were being raised up by their father alone, who was a Civil War veteran.
She conserved this idea after a sermon on the mother's
day in 1909. 
Her idea was supported by local religious leaders and the first celebration came up on her father's birthday,  June 19, 1910. 
It became a National holiday in the year 1972 , after President Richard Nixon signed legislation declaring the third Sundays of June as Father's day.
